Metal
type in a variety of character sizes is available in individual character pieces,
each 0.918 inches long. They are set in rows in a JanTech type holder, #260 that
is then mounted in the machine. Metal engraved strings of characters, called "logo
type," are also available. These may be used in the type holder with or in place
of the individual character pieces. |
 |
Systems
of loose rubber type characters in a variety of sizes are available. They are
made to mount in a ribbed rubber mat. A JanTech rubber type holder, #247, including
the mounted ribbed mat is available in the thickness required to achieve the "type
high" mounting dimension. Rubber "logo type" is also available for this system. |
| |
Complete,
entire "marks", including text and graphics can be combined on a single "die plate."
Die plates may be produced from metal, rubber, or other polymers. Die plates vary
in thickness, according to the manufacturer, but must still be mounted "type high"
in the machine. A JanTech die plate, either the standard #215 or adjustable #262
mount is used. |
 |
Die
systems may be combined. Shown is an example where a die plate adapter is used
in a type older along with metal type for changeable composition such as date
code. |

number advances with each tip of the lever. Wheels may also be turned to desired
number using a soft stylus for a quick change alternative to a type holder for
changeable composition. Wheels
may be optionally engraved with letters or special characters (maximum 11 characters
per wheel) if needed. Heads
may be optionally equipped for using die plates to left of number (as shown). |
